It is that time of the year again, Stout Season! We are kicking off the season with an Epic Black Friday event! Every year Epic Brewing from Salt Lake City puts out variants of their Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout, Big Bad Baptist. On Black Friday only we will have five of this years variants on tap and in bottle! Tap list will include the original along with Hazelnut Vanilla Latte, Peanut Butter Cup, Chocolate Rapture, and Vanilla Brandy!

The process for creating these realms of Baptist is very similar to the original, each using coffee and cacao, but each variant has its own special flavor profile to compliment the balance and flavor journey the Classic has taken barrel aged beer and coffee fans on for nearly a decade.

• The Chocolate Rapture pushes the boundaries of cacao and adds a touch of vanilla without overwhelming the barrel aged stout. The result is a super decadent stout that goes down richly and will satisfy your chocolate cravings.

• The Hazelnut Vanilla Latte utilizes hazelnuts to achieve a soft, yet rich blend of vanilla and toasted nuts.

• The Peanut Butter Cup simply adds peanuts to create the chocolate-peanut butter combination that goes well with the dark flavors of the Baptist line.

• The Vanilla Brandy Barrel was aged in 100% Brandy barrels that imparted a strong, complex oak character that was smoothed out with cacao, coffee, and vanilla.

And yes, they are doing it — going to the fifth degree realm of barrel aging in a singular beer. The Quintuple Barrel has multiple added spices and flavors, including Barrel-Aged Roasted Cacao Nibs, Barrel-aged Coffee, Barrel-aged Coconut, Barrel-aged Almonds, Barrel-aged Salt and Caramel. This variant will be available in bottle ONLY!
